Milford votes to sell foreclosed Country Club Lane home
Other Committee · Meeting of September 14, 2026
Milford Select Board votes to sell a tax-foreclosed Country Club Lane condo rather than keep it. Treasurer/Collector Chris Piller told the board the unit, assessed at $452,000, carries roughly $50,000 in back taxes and legal fees after the occupant defaulted on two payment plans and Land Court awarded the town judgment. "I don't think any municipality wants to be a landlord for a resident," Piller said, and the board voted unanimously to sell.
Eviction proceedings will begin immediately, handled by tax-title attorneys Coppola and Coppola. Elsewhere, the board unanimously approved a license for four 1,000-gallon propane tanks at the new Slick City Action Park, 2,000 gallons over the standard limit, and authorized borrowing through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund for PFAS treatment infrastructure.
