Milford Select Board Elects Mazzucchelli Chair, Approves Stone Ridge Conservation Deal
MILFORD — April 27, 2026 — Milford Select Board unanimously elects Paul Mazzucchelli as chair and approves conservation deal preserving nearly 30 acres at Stone Ridge. The board reorganized at its April 27 meeting, with Mazzucchelli thanking colleagues for their confidence before the board paused to honor recently deceased former member Dino de Botlemais. Israel Lopez of the Gutierrez Company presented an amendment to the Stone Ridge Center conservation restriction on Deer Street, adding 0.57 acres to bring total preserved land within the 80-acre site to 29.83 acres — the final major entitlement obligation for the decade-long development project, which includes Restaurant Depot and two residential phases. The board also approved a $25,000 firefighter safety equipment grant announced by Town Administrator Rick Villani, three applications from St. Mary's of the Assumption Parish for the May 16-17 Festa de Nossa Senhora de Fatima celebration, and appointment of Thomas Brown to a Council on Aging vacancy, before entering executive session to discuss the contract of the Director of Municipal Services.
