Select Board · Meeting of August 10, 2026

MILFORD — The Milford Select Board voted unanimously to let the town administrator negotiate an IT contract with WorldBand Incorporated. Town Administrator Richard A. Villani said the town must decide between an "employee-based" or "consultant-based" IT model, and WorldBand owner Lonnie Tinio pitched his firm's 24-hour staffing, cybersecurity team and cloud backup, noting the company has grown from four employees in 2010 to 20 today.

Board member Michael K. Walsh said Milford's IT needs have reached "another level," pointing to a training-capacity concern first raised by Selectman Thomas J. O'Loughlin.

The motion covers town departments only, excluding the school department, and sets no cost terms. The board also unanimously approved a liquor license upgrade for Nisteria Brunch and Tap LLC, a "no turn on red" sign for Exchange and Main streets after police cited a blind sightline and CDC traffic-fatality data, and a permit for the September 19 Special Olympics 5K.
