MILFORD — Select Board authorized the Town Administrator to negotiate contract terms with Worldband for full information technology services. The board voted unanimously on the authorization, which excludes the school system from the arrangement. Worldband owner Lawney Tinio told the board his 20-person firm operates 24/7 and has provided services to Milford since 2010, including support during a recent cyber-attack.
Town Administrator Richard A. Villani cited cost savings and reduced administrative burden as key advantages of the consultant-based approach over maintaining a full-time in-house IT department.
