Select Board · Meeting of August 24, 2026

Milford's Select Board set October 26 for its Special Town Meeting and sent three zoning bylaw amendments to the Planning Board for hearings. Town Administrator Richard A. Villani reported the $2.5 million Godfrey Brook Capacity Improvements Project is complete, with $780,000 covered by a FEMA Hazard Mitigation grant.

The board also approved a Common Victualler License transfer for a new Five Guys Burgers and Fries at 9 Medway Road and a "Slow Children" sign on Iadarola Avenue. During a lengthy ADA Transition Plan update, Villani said the town has spent much of its roughly $1.05 million accessibility fund and will seek $150,000 more in October. Resident Harold Rhodes asked the board to restrict ADA spending "only to transition plan" items and said "none of this ADA money should be used in the construction of any of these projects," urging a formal accounting and an outside 521 CMR compliance review.
