Planning Board · Meeting of March 4, 2026

Milford Planning Board sends unfavorable recommendations on two ZBA applications and advances food truck bylaw update. Member Joseph A. Calagione, sitting as chair for the evening, led a three-member quorum through a full agenda March 4.

The board voted 3-0 to recommend denial of a variance request at 12 East Walnut Street, where an applicant sought to create a lot with only 34 feet of frontage against a 100-foot minimum, citing inability to maximize property value as the hardship, and 3-0 to recommend denial of a special permit at 17 Water Street to convert a nonconforming structure into a two-family residence with severely inadequate parking. The board also approved an amended site plan for 10-12 Beach Street with a condition excluding six parking spaces from calculations because they encroach on the town right of way, and voted unanimously to sponsor a Mullen Rule statute article for the Select Board's warrant. Member Christopher Wilson reported that an interagency working group agreed a draft food truck bylaw revision must reach the Planning Board by March 17 to make the May 18 annual town meeting.
