Planning Board · Meeting of September 1, 2026

Milford Planning Board sends fixed food truck bylaw to fall Town Meeting warrant. The board voted unanimously to replace zoning language town counsel found violated Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A, swapping a reference to Board of Health regulations for wording allowing trucks "as otherwise licensed by the town of Milford." Member Christopher Wilson, who led the effort, said food trucks are "operating in this town, so we're trying to catch up with the times," while member Joseph Calagione withheld full confidence until the Select Board confirms it will set operating rules. The board also advanced a data center zoning amendment barring the use in two districts while allowing it by special permit in two others, and set fitness-facility parking at one space per 200 square feet.

On a 3-1 vote, with member Marble Mainini dissenting, the board recommended a lot-width variance at 44 Mountain Pleasant Street, and unanimously recommended against a four-unit conversion at 17 Water Street over parking shortfalls.
