Milford's high school building committee narrowed its architect search to two firms ahead of a January 27 interview. The Milford High School School Building Committee, meeting January 14, heard from Project Manager Jonathan that the MSBA designer selection panel shortlisted HMFH Architects and Kessel Booz Associates from an original field of five after a Zoom session attended by roughly 90 participants. Milford's three panel representatives, Chris Wilson, Mike Walsh, and Greg Consigli, advocated for the shortlist based on the two firms' depth of experience in comprehensive and vocational-technical high schools.

The committee also absorbed the implications of MSBA Project Advisory 96, which confirmed that costs for the existing pool renovation, any field house, and central administration space are all ineligible for state reimbursement at the town's current rate of approximately 73 percent. One member cautioned against locking in a preference before the interviews, saying "there isn't enough meat in those proposals to say who's one, two, or three," while another urged the Milford representatives to present a unified front, noting the MSBA panel leader stressed the selected firm will be the town's partner for five to seven years.
