Milford School Committee adopts immigration policy, advances $12.3 million Stacey Middle School repair. Members voted unanimously to adopt the state-required "Protect Act," barring civil immigration arrests on school grounds without a judicial warrant, with member Craig leading training and telling colleagues, "If somebody's claiming to be a federal agent, contact me. I contact the attorney." The committee also approved warrant article language for Stacey's HVAC system after its projected cost rose from roughly $6 million to $12.3 million, plus a separate article for roughly $1 million in electrical switchgear work facilities consultant John called premature, saying "there's really no indication that this needs to be done." Members also endorsed a $250,000 phone system warrant article and accepted a $25,000 gift from the Rhodes Family for special education programs.
