Zoning Board · Meeting of August 13, 2026

Milford's Zoning Board of Appeals approved a setback variance for an auto dealership and unanimously upheld a denial of a five-dog special permit. The board voted unanimously to let Rudolph Lioce III build a 3,200-square-foot storage structure at 294 West Street with a 14-foot side setback, down from the required 25 feet, subject to Planning Board site plan approval. In a second hearing, the board found that Regiane Ferreira's repetitive petition, seeking to keep five dogs at 1 Esther Drive, showed no "substantial material change" since a prior denial, voting 5-0 to deny reopening the case.

Member Robert Capuzziello told attorney Epstein-Santoyo the application's claims were inaccurate, saying "that's totally a wrong statement," since the cited fence and bark collars predated the earlier denial. Neighbor Charlotte Kensil told the board barking had largely stopped over the past year. An appeal of the original denial remains pending in Worcester.
