Personnel Board doubles overtime pay to 2x rate for Sundays, holidays

Milford Personnel Board approves doubling of Sunday and holiday overtime pay. The board unanimously voted to amend Section 5.9 of the Personnel By-laws to raise overtime compensation from 1.5 times to two times the hourly rate for eligible employees, following a recommendation from HR Director Kristin Melpignano and support from Finance Director Z. Taylor.
The board separately tabled a discussion of adding Town Hall half days before Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years to the official holiday schedule, pending Legal Department review. The board postponed any decision on longevity pay increases, citing financial constraints.
