Select Board · Meeting of January 29, 2026
Milford Select Board approves deficit snow spending amid severe FY27 budget constraints. Finance Director Zach Taylor warned that state aid growth will reach only 0.6 percent, far short of the 3.5 percent budgeted, and recommended level funding and a hiring freeze. The board unanimously authorized deficit spending for the snow and ice account and approved $6,000 in gifts from Benjamin Moore & Co., with $3,000 each for the Milford Fire Department and Youth Center.
The board also approved National Grid pole installation and transfer of a Common Victualler License.
