Milford schools approve $81.4 million FY2027 budget with 2.27 percent increase. The School Committee unanimously voted to approve the FY2027 budget of $81,413,472 on a motion by Mr. Zacchilli, seconded by Mr.
Sobers, following Superintendent Dr. Craig A. Consigli's explanation that the initial proposal of 8 to 9 percent growth was reduced to 2.27 percent on direction from the Town of Milford finance department.
The reduction required difficult staffing decisions despite declining enrollment. The committee also approved a new elementary custodial cleaning contract with Dynamic Janitorial at a savings of $36,000 compared to current provider CleanCo.
