Library board approves historical collection plan

Milford Library Trustees approve historical collection plan, expand director search. The Board of Library Trustees unanimously added Mary Frances Best to the Director Search Committee and approved a strategic plan for the Paul E Curran Historical Collection during the January 8 meeting, with six of seven members present. The board is reviewing a new workstation management system with multilingual support and scan-to-translate features for spring implementation, though compatibility issues with the current printing system remain.
The library reported strong attendance at gift-wrapping and children's programs in December. Capital improvements being planned include door, carpeting, and lighting upgrades.
