Finance Committee · Meeting of May 7, 2026
Milford Finance Committee defers parks capital projects amid school aid concerns. The capital subcommittee met May 7 with Vice Chair Alberto Correia and Member Joyce Lavigne to review 2.1 million dollars in Parks Department capital proposals, including a 1.7 million dollar skate park and a 400,000 dollar basketball court at Edwards Park. With only a 0.6 percent state school aid increase on offer, the committee decided to defer approval pending budget clarity.
The Toro OutCross was eliminated, and Parks staff reported spending approximately 50,000 dollars annually on ADA compliance improvements.
