MILFORD — Finance Committee approves warrant articles, reviews school budget. The Milford Finance Committee voted to approve or refer 12 town meeting warrant articles at its April 15 meeting and reviewed the School Department's proposed $81.5 million budget for fiscal year 2027. Superintendent Craig Consigli, School Committee Chairperson Matt Zacchili, and Vice Chairperson Mike Aghajanian presented the adjusted budget, which represents a 2.4 percent increase from the original $86.5 million request following reductions in Level Service and Priority 1 initiatives.
Approved articles included $860,000 for snow and ice removal, $4,300 for school student activities, $25,000 for cemetery repairs, and funding for Milford TV's broadcast of government meetings. Finance Committee member David Levine cast the only dissenting vote on a motion to refer UniEnvios MA's liquor license request to the sponsor.
