Finance Committee approves $620K property acquisition for Police Station

Finance Committee · Meeting of February 4, 2026

MILFORD — Finance Committee unanimously backs $620K property acquisition for Police Station parking. Town Administrator Rick Villani and Police Chief Robert Tusino presented the article recommending eminent domain acquisition of a two-family residence at 6 Park Terrace to address a critical parking shortage. The 10-member committee voted unanimously to approve the $620,000 appropriation, which includes $505,000 already available in the real estate fund and approximately $100,000 for demolition and asbestos removal.

The Police Station currently has only 12 parking spaces for 77 employees, and the acquisition will provide additional parking and improve access to the sally port.
