MILFORD — Cemetery trustees approve $35,000 in budget transfers for upkeep and buybacks. The Trustees of Vernon Grove Cemetery unanimously approved two Town Meeting articles in March: a $10,000 transfer from the Sale of Lots fund for property buybacks and a $25,000 transfer from the perpetual care fund for repairs and general maintenance. Both transfers passed without recorded opposition, with Administrator Philip Greenstein noting the buybacks have been necessary multiple times in recent years and the maintenance funding will support needed cemetery projects over the next couple of years.
