Capital subcommittee reviews $2M in proposals pending budget clarity

Finance Committee · Meeting of March 11, 2026

MILFORD — Finance Committee's capital subcommittee reviews $2 million in proposed projects. Alberto Correia and Brant Hornberger reviewed cemetery improvements totaling $340,000 and highway upgrades worth $875,000 during a March 11 meeting held amid uncertainty over state school aid increases. Additional proposals included $1 million for storage tank replacement and long-term transfer station planning.

The subcommittee declined to approve the projects pending clarification of the town's budget situation, noting that in recent years the town has spent $3 million to $4 million annually on capital despite budgeting just $1.75 million.
